Is alkaline water good for you?

The only real answer is no, not at all. If you research deeper as I have, you will find no evidence to back up the wild claims, only manipulated truths.

The common misconception perpetuated by the MLM companies and other sellers is that this type of water reduces the acidity in your body, helping you to avoid cancer and other degenerative diseases.

The fact is, whatever you ingest, you just cannot change the pH level in your body!

You do not benefit from more antioxidants, that's a myth but what you do tend to get more of is the toxic cancer-causing chemicals like lead and chlorine.

Alkaline water is not filtered

This is perhaps my biggest concern as many people are under the false illusion that they are protecting their health when they are clearly not.

Ionizers do not in any way purify your supply, which leaves you still exposed to the thousands of chemicals known to be present and which should be removed via home filtration first.

You actually significantly increase your cancer risk and not reduce it by using ionized water. Chlorine has by-products known as THMs and these raise your cancer risk and the reason why it should be removed first.

Even when you shower, you inhale more toxins from the chloroform vapour (chlorine in a gas form) than you would by drinking lots of unfiltered water.

Use a quality filter instead of an ionizer

They also tend to cost a fraction of the price of the alkaline water machines and ionizers as these are inflated to make extra profits.
